The Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province is recruiting 40–50 overseas travel and lifestyle content creators as official Hainan International Tourism Ambassadors for 2026, with applications open now through December 2026. As of June 2026 the programme had 111 ambassadors across 41 countries and regions.

Selected ambassadors receive an official letter of appointment, free access to Hainan's scenic areas, characteristic villages and landmark spots, and invitations to signature experiences such as rocket-launch viewings, historic arcade-house (qilou) tours and intangible cultural heritage activities, plus cash rewards for content. Creators are expected to produce photo, short-video or livestream content for overseas audiences on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

How to apply (primary route is email): download and complete the official application form and email it with your bio, sample work and overseas social account details to hntourism@hotmail.com. Alternatively, follow the official overseas account @ExploreHainan, post 'I want to become a Hainan International Tourism Ambassador', and reshare the recruitment post tagging the official account.
